Arthritis

Arthritis
The orthopedist said that I had arthritis in my right hip; but since it wasn't that bad I should wait to get it replaced. If being in constant pain, walking with a decided limp, and having to lift my leg to get into a car was bad enough, how much worse could it get? My sleep was disturbed, I was distracted and fatigued throughout the day, and the pain medication made me feel groggy.

My wife had a very positive experience with Dr. Tad, but I was stubborn and felt that I could tough it out until the arthritis was worse. The idea of a hip replacement was very scary to me. I waited about three months until my denial failed -- I was in too much pain and there was no end, outside of a hospital, in sight. So, I bit the bullet and went to see Dr. Tad.

I went for six sessions and, despite my unhealthy skepticism, I did feel somewhat better. So I signed up for the long haul and started going three times a week. Much to my surprise, I continued to improve. My pain lessened, my range of motion increased, my gait lost its limp, and I started sleeping more soundly.

I have completed over forty sessions and am sold on acupuncture. I still have the arthritis, but I am not in pain. I walk, sleep, move and get through my day without really thinking about my hip.

My heartfelt gratitude goes to Dr. Tad and his entire staff for their warmth, caring, and dedication. And for my wife for knowing when to push.

Scoliosis, Chronic Back and Neck Pain, Arthritis
I have had back pain for approximately 40 years. I have 2 severe curves in my spine and when Dr. Tad told me he could straighten my spine I thought I had nothing to lose and gave acupuncture and herbs a try. I had previously undergone 3 back surgeries as a teen. I had learned to live with the discomfort.

Since my acupuncture treatments my pain has gone from a 9 to a 1 and the curve on the upper part of my back has become more straight. My energy level has increased as well.

Dr. Tad and his wonderful staff are amazing! Life is good!

Spinal Stenosis, Arthritis & Menopause
Coming into the Center, I had severe chronic back pain, chronic joint pain and hot flashes.

Following my treatments, I was able to stop the steroid injection treatments that I had been having for 2 ½ years. My joint pain is also much less.

Thanks to acupuncture and Dr. Tad I am able to do much, much more that I was able to do in the past.

The staff and customer service at the Center is superior and Dr. Tad is one of the brightest physicians I've ever met – and I am 69 years old and have met a few physicians!

Arthritis & High Blood Pressure
I came to Dr. Tad with symptoms of my arthritis being tightness and pain in my neck, shoulders, knees, and back.

I began treatment and felt more energetic and relieved of pain. I started drinking less caffeine and taking ½ the dosages of my blood pressure and pain medication. I have progressed so much and feel well.

Dr Tad is a special person who is dedicated to his patients. He shows a lot of care and takes his time with each patient as needed. He is such a wise doctor. Kasia is a great partner for Dr. Tad and the staff is very friendly, welcoming and professional. They all make a great team and make health and wellness an enjoyable pursuit.

Insomnia, Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, Chronic Pain & Hot Flashes
I will admit when I was first approached by my hair stylist's husband to think about trying acupuncture I was quite skeptical about the idea. His dad comes here and is still treating. My friend gave me Dr. Tad's number and explained the consultation and initial exam were free. I figured, really, what do have to lose except possibly one hour of my time. I kept the phone number but never called. Finally, after about one month or so of continuing to get worse, I called and scheduled for a consultation. Again, not knowing if I was going to believe if this treatment style was for me, I booked my initial three appointments. After those appointments, I started to feel a change in my sleep – for the better. Also, because I was sleeping, my energy level increased and I felt less irritable. Okay. So I started to believe that this might be for me. So I signed on to a treatment plan always keeping in the back of my mind that I can cancel at any time. After the first session of appointments, I started to feeling an improvement to my fibromyalgia symptoms (excessive fatigue and aching from head to toe 24/7). I remember Dr. Tad saying that things might get worse before I see or feel an improvement but hang in there and don't get discouraged because this will work for you. I will admit that there were days and sometimes weeks that I felt worse than when I originally came here. I would arrive for my appointments and I would stand and pace the waiting area and be crying I was so uncomfortable. Nothing helped me!! The thought of giving up was always on my mind … but I would always remember his initial statement, "things may get worse before better and I feel real results." So I figured these days and weeks were worse so things had to get better. I am now past treating for six months and I am happy to say I'm glad I hung in there. My health has improved immensely. Not just physically but mentally as well. My outlook on alternative medicine is defiantly positive and I am a true believer that it works. I have even referred two friends and they are doing great too!!!

I am glad to get rid of all of my prescription medicines and living a fulfilled life. We are presently working on my psoriasis issues and occasionally my sleepless nights return, but I know continued treatment will take care of these issues.

Thank you Dr. Tad and your friendly work team for a job well done!

Restless Legs, Arthritis and Smoking
When I first came to Dr. Tad, I was dealing with restless legs, trouble sleeping, headaches and pain in the joints.

Once I began treatment, I was able to stop ALL medications. My legs are much better, I am sleeping better, my headaches are fewer and I feel a lot calmer. I feel that my health has improved a lot and I have more energy than before too. I am able to do things that I have not been able to do for awhile. I even joined a gym.

I would recommend this treatment to everyone. I'm having better results that I ever had with drugs. Dr. Tad and his staff are great people. They are personable, understanding and compassionate – everything you would want in a doctors office.

Shingles, GERD, Heart Arrhythmia, Arthritis, Restless Leg Syndrome, Energy
I was 83 when I began acupuncture. I was in terrible pain from shingles and on two narcotics for the pain because prior to this I had been in the hospital twice and in intensive care both times. I had no energy at all as well as the pain from the shingles. I could only sit and cry and wonder how I could go on like this for the rest of my life.

In a short time, the pain subsided and I was able to go off the drugs. Also, I began to gain energy which kept increasing with time. Dr. Tad also treated me for a number of other things: GERD which he cured and got me off of the narcotic Nexium; my heart arrhythmia improved so much that I am on 1/5th of the narcotic Toprol XL which I was taking; most of my arthritis pain is gone; the restless leg syndrome is gone; I was able to go shopping without getting so tired quickly that I could not continue. Now I can shop for a good period of time, do some housework and my exercises. My appetite also came back and I was able to do the activities I had done before such as housework, exercising, driving, doing errands and getting out to go see friends.

I am a different person since receiving acupuncture. I am greatly renewed in energy and see possibilities for my future life. I am now 86 and still going to acupuncture to keep my immune system working well and to keep my energy levels up and feeling well. How grateful I am to Dr. Tad for all this!!

Arthritis, High Cholesterol, High Blood Pressure, Thyroid, Acute Stenosis, and Optical Migraines
Two years ago I began acupuncture because of acute spinal stenosis and probability of surgery. I was in severe pain and could not walk much. I had already had PT, shot and pain medications. Three months of treatments and I no long experienced pain. MRI's indicated that my condition improved dramatically. I am not on maintenance without pain.

The "side effects" of acupuncture were:

  • Normal Cholesterol Level – no medication required
  • Lowered Blood Pressure – now taking less than half of the previous medication

I believe and I know that without acupuncture, I would have had back surgery that could not have been guaranteed to fully improve my condition.
