Digestive Issues

Digestive Problems
I was 26 years old when I experienced what I can describe as a digestive system failure. It was like my entire system shut down for a day, completely (and painfully) cleared out, and slowly restarted itself, again: painfully. I can't say for sure what I had because the doctors never found anything. Two colonoscopies, multiple stool samples, multiple blood tests, and no answers. All they could with certainty say was what it wasn't: diverticulitis, colitis, cancer, the list went on. All these tests, all this time, and all this money later, and I still had nothing to show for it. While I was grateful that I didn't have all these illnesses, I still wanted to know what I had because something was clearly wrong with me.

When I first "got sick" I had to quit my job because my energy had disappeared within that first week of getting "sick". My parents generously opened their door to me and I stayed with them for the next 10 months, slowly gaining back my energy. When I came to Dr. Tad, he took my pulses, observed me for a couple of weeks, and announced that I had too much heat and dampness in my body.

Slowly, with the aid of acupuncture, bitter herbal tea, and a strict diet, my digestive system started absorbing the nutrients from my food and I started gaining back my energy. It's now been almost a year, I feel great, my system is fully functional. Thank you, Dr. Tad!

Meniere's Disease, Digestive Issues, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol
When my daughter took me to see Dr.Tad, we had already gone to see 3 ear specialists in Rhode Island and 1 in Boston with no answers for my Meniere's Disease. I was progressively getting worse by the day. I was so dizzy that I was holding on to walls and in bed 4-5 days out of the week. I also had ringing in my ears and hearing loss. I thought the next step for me was a nursing home.

That was 6 months ago, I have not been dizzy since my second treatment of acupuncture. I am off all prescription medicine and my blodd pressure and cholesterol are amazing!

Dr. Tad has given me my life back! I can drive again and watch my 2 year old great granddaughter without the worry of getting dizzy. Thank you Dr. Tad and his staff for being warm and caring and making me feel like family.

Spine, Leg & Digestion Issues
When I came to Dr. Tad I had a lot of pain and it was very hard for me to do my daily chores. I felt like the next step would be the wheel chair. I was in a lot of pain and I could not walk any distance.

Acupuncture has helped me to feel great. I can walk again, bend over, roll over in bed and lift my legs. I feel like I have been reborn. I would recommend acupuncture to everyone.

Overall, I can honestly say that when I arrived I felt like I was in Doomsville. Now I feel like I was given a second chance at life. It is the best thing I have ever done. I honestly believe everyone should do something good for themselves. Life was made to enjoy not to live in pain!

Digestive Trouble & Low Energy
When I came to acupuncture, my biggest issue was frequent indigestion with abdominal pain and vomiting.

After a few visits, I noticed increase in my energy. The digestion improved markedly & remains much better. I have been a patient at the center for several years now.

In general, my health is better. My blood pressure is normal now. My energy level is excellent.

Our "Dr. Tad" is a wonderful doctor. His knowledge of Western medicine combined with acupuncture & herbal therapies is unique. There should be more doctors in this country that can bridge the two disciplines – Western with Eastern.

Ankylosing Spondylitis, Insomnia, Stomach/Digestive Issues, Chronic Sinus Infections, Fatigue & Infertility
Give acupuncture a try – it will change your life! I am 41 years old. Slightly doubtful and unsure if they would help, I started treatments about a year ago now. I felt compelled to try an alternative to traditional western medicine and I am delighted I did. Acupuncture treatments at the CPM surpassed my expectations and improved my quality of life more than I could have imagined.

When I began acupuncture treatments a year ago, I had reached the worst level of pain in my life. I was diagnosed with Anklosing Spondylitis at the age of 22 and have battled the ups and downs of daily pain for 20 years. But for the previous 1 ½ - 2 years, I was essentially in daily agony and at my worst pain level EVER! I could not go on with this kind of pain and was also not sleeping well as a result. The prescription drugs I was taking for my arthritis pain were not working anymore and I faced the option of trying more serious TNF blockers/biological drugs than had even more dangerous side effects. With so many years ahead of me, I dreaded the idea of what the long term effects of these drugs could be on me. I just knew that I needed to improve the quality of my life.

My first priority was to work on my arthritis pain. Dr. Tad's treatment plan and herbs reduced my pain by about 90%. Also, at times, I experienced 100% improvement when I achieved pain free days on a regular basis. This was incredible. In addition, I stopped my prescription drugs entirely (and therefore eliminated the side effects from those). Prior to the treatments, despite the agony I was in and the lack of sleep I was getting, I had not realized how sick I truly sick I was until I began to feel better as a result of acupuncture. I also had not realized that my disease and the prescription drugs had taken such a severe toll on my body and health overall.

Putting my arthritis into remission was wonderful and enabled us to focus on the other issues that I had. The treatments eliminated my chronic sinus infections and stomach/digestive problems. These also had plagued me and made me fatigued and irritable. What a relief to get those issues under control.

Finally, my 2nd major priority – and I am happy to say success story – pertains to my irregular menstrual periods/ovulation and fertility problems. "Everything is connected to everything" as the saying goes and because I was so sick overall, so was my reproductive system. My husband and I had been trying to conceive for about 1 ½ years. Most months I was not even ovulating. We were given the option of western medicine fertility treatments (IVF, ect) because my hormone levels were off. Yet, after just finally freeing myself from drugs, I did not want to wreak that kind of havoc on my body. I had seen what other women I know had gone through with IVF and the stress and negative impact these treatments caused them. It was fine if other s pursued this option, but my personal choice was to refrain from IVF and give acupuncture treatments a chance since the treatments worked wonders for my arthritis. Well, we achieved regularity with my menstrual cycle and ovulation and made my body stronger and healthier overall through treatments and herbs. I am overjoyed to report that at the age of 41, I am pregnant as a result of these treatments. My husband and I are expecting our first child and we are ecstatically happy!! I continue to receive treatments to help my pregnancy and we look forward to the birth of our child. I thank the CPM for my overall improved health and for giving me such hope for the future – both for me and my family.

I am grateful to Dr. Tad for his assessment, wisdom and guidance; to Kasia and staff for their fantastic helpfulness and encouragement. I urge you to listen to them and you will become healthier!
