Uterine Fibroids, Menopause, Excessive Menstrual Bleeding & Anemia
When I first came, I had uterine fibroids and at menopause I was experiencing excessive menstrual bleeding and I was anemic due to that situation.

The acupuncture controlled the bleeding within a very short time, enabled me to go through menopause with very few other symptoms and shrank the fibroids. I was able to stop taking the combination of hormones being prescribed for menstrual bleeding and did not have to take iron for anemia.

I have continued to come for quarterly appointments to maintain my health. I am rarely ill and take no prescription medications – just Chinese herbs and general vitamins.

I've learned that not all MD's are understanding of acupuncture and it is important for me to make the judgments about their recommended treatments. Had I relied on medical opinion initially, I would have had a hysterectomy and would be taking hormones.
