My condition affected my life because I had many days out of work or I was at work and not productive at all. I
think the worst part of my migraines was the lack of joy I found in anything. Even when I didn't have a migraine I was haunted by them and never felt well. I was basically a zombie.
I immediately felt better after my first week of treatments. My migraines slowly went away and now if I feel I might be getting a migraine, an asprin sets me right!
I have energy and I sleep well. I was not sleeping well until I saw Dr. Tad. Now I almost always get my 8 hours.
10+ years ago I had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. But it seemed like such an ambiguous disease that I
decided to pretend I didn't have it and ignore all the muscle pains. Well a couple of months into acupuncture I realized I had no more pain! Fibromyalgia gone!
Thank you Dr. Tad!

Polycystic Ovaries, Migraines, Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Dr. Tad is by far the most attentive doctor I have ever been treated by. I don't feel like I am just another
appointment of the day. He actually listens to what the issues are and tries to connect them; and from my experience he has been successful.
In my time seeing Dr. Tad I have lost over 20 pounds, which is a large portion of the weight I gained from my
hypothyroidism. I have almost no migraines and my Irritable Bowel Syndrome is completely gone. I'm no longer exhausted all day so I can work more effectively and focus on my tasks.
I always leave the office after a treatment feeling a thousand times better then when I came in!

Migraine, Chronic Pain & Neck Arthritis
Prior to acupuncture treatment I suffered from regular headaches, neck pain, depression, and anxiety.
Acupuncture relieved my neck pain and helped me to feel more relaxed, hopeful and happy. I changed my diet by reducing the amount of processed
sugar I consumed. I was also able to stop taking my migraine medication with no adverse consequence. Treatment with acupuncture and herbal
therapy has made me feel much better overall and given me a more optimistic outlook on my future.
Believe in acupuncture. It's like the oil change for your car; if you don't do it your car breaks down. Acupuncture reaches the core of all body
processes balancing them out and therefore, keeping you in better health. It's a must-do for me.

Headaches, Migraines
Thank You for giving my Teenage son his life back!
In every crisis, there is an opportunity. It took a crisis to get us to your office, now we don't miss the opportunity to help others by referring them to you.
Thomas suffered from debilitating headaches for over a year. Under treatment by an excellent neurologist, he tried biofeedback and one medication
after another with limited success. He had almost constant headaches, and would often retreat to bed with a migraine. In June, he took a sudden
turn for the worse. He was in constant pain, confused, and only able to stay awake for a limited time. A lumbar puncture (spinal tap) revealed
pressure on his brain due to an excess of cerebral-spinal fluid. This began the summer of even more medication, awful side-effects, frustration and
despair. In September, I brought him to your office for the first time. The effects of treatment were dramatic. Within only several months, he is
headache free and off all his medication. He is back on the basketball court and back enjoying his life.
It is unfortunate that in our culture we view acupuncture as a treatment of last resort. We seek it, not out of knowledge, but out of despair.
Acupuncture is a powerful tool to help the body heal itself. We need to view acupuncture not as an "alternative" medicine, but as smart medicine.
But even the best techniques are only useful in skilled hands. I am so very grateful to Dr. Tad Sztykowski and Dr. Jon Hagenburg and to the caring
and efficient staff who are an integral part of the treatment experience.

Mono, Migraines, Sinusitis
When I made the decision to come to Dr. Tad, I had been suffering with many different types of symptoms including fatigue, migraines/headaches,
recurring sinus infections, recurring bronchitis and pneumonia, sore throats (strep) and severe allergies.
Once I started the treatment plan, rapid progress was made almost immediately. Right away there was obvious progression in how I was feeling. I
also was able to stop taking all allergy medication as well as antibiotics, steroids for immune problems and migraine medication previously prescribed to me.

Back Pain/Lack of Energy/Migraines
My major complaint prior to starting acupuncture with Dr. Tad was lack of energy, migraine headaches as well as back pain from top to bottom.
Right after starting treatments I felt energized and was able to stop most of my prescription medication.
Overall I feel much better. I would even say very well since I started treatments with Dr. Tad.

Migraines
Prior to my decision to come to acupuncture, my symptoms included dizziness, headache, confusion, intestinal upset and vomiting. I was taking
several medications for these symptoms, which was diagnosed as migraines. They worked for awhile (1 ½ years) but stopped working eventually
leaving me with most of these symptoms for 4 days or so out of every 7 days.
Since starting acupuncture, all symptoms have abated. They came back for a few days but otherwise in the last month I have felt better than I have in the last 2 years.

Migraines
I have suffered with migraines for about 23 years. I had tried all kinds of medications, none of which really helped at all. My migraines had gotten so
bad that I would be incapacitated for an entire day or two a couple of times a month. The pain was excruciating and I was getting so frustrated. I
finally went to a neurologist who prescribed self-injected shots and it was the only thing that alleviated my pain. However, I was reliant on this heavy
duty medication which had uncomfortable side effects. Not to mention, giving myself injections was no fun at all.
Someone had recommended Dr. Tad and I had always wanted to try acupuncture but just never pursued it. I wanted so badly to get rid of these
horrible migraines that I was willing to commit to the process. I immediately felt comfortable with Dr. Tad because he is a medical doctor as well as
an acupuncturist. Dr. Tad told me how bad the medication was for my liver over the long term and I was willing to do whatever it took to get rid of the
migraines for good! Dr. Tad was sure he could help and he did. It did not happen overnight, but after a year of treatment (acupuncture, herbs and no
coffee), I am virtually rid of the migraines and I am no longer on any of the medication that I once so desperately needed. I also suffered from pretty
bad hay fever each spring and with the help of acupuncture and herbs, that is under control as well and I no longer need allergy medication.
I now truly believe in acupuncture so much that I have started to bring my 7 ½ year old son for attentional issues that he has been having in school
over the past year or so. Of course the school recommended I put him on medication after only about 6 months of trying different teaching strategies.
I did not agree to medication and knew Dr. Tad could help and he is!!
I am so grateful that I found Dr. Tad and I know he will be an integral part of my entire family's health care from now on.

Migraines, Inflammation of Muscles & Joint Pain
Before I started my acupuncture treatments, I was taking a lot of sick days and I had very impaired focus. The medication I was taking would make
me tired, nauseas, forgetful, sick for days and causes chronic fatigue.
Within 2 weeks, my migraines went away to my amazement. "NO MORE IMITREX – YESSS!" Also, m y general health improved, I had more energy, focus and a greater sense of well being!
— Barbara M., Warwick, RI
Migraines & Skin Problems
Before starting on acupuncture, I was always tired, experienced headaches, low energy levels, and skin problems.
After starting my treatment plan, I started to have more energy, the symptoms are subsiding, and I have a general overall feeling of calmness. I am
able to get so much more done without feeling tired. I have had a definite improvement in health because my symptoms are less frequent and severe.
Acupuncture has been to this date, the least invasive treatment with the best results.
— Jewel G., Providence, RI
Fatigue, Allergies & Migraines
When I decided to try acupuncture, I arrived with low energy, digestion issues, severe allergies and regular headaches sometimes turning into migraines.
Once I made the decision to do acupuncture and I started my treatments, the most significant change was to my allergies. In the past, I could never
go into a room that had cats or mold without having a severe allergic reaction. In addition at least once a year my sinuses would give out (it was like
an atom bursting) and I would be in bed 2 – 3 days. Now I can be in a room with a cat or mold without reacting. Plus I have not had the annual sinus
issue since starting acupuncture. I've had severe allergies since I was a child.
I was also able to stop taking my prescription allergy medicine on a regular basis. I only take it for a week or two during the peak allergy season
(spring). If I get a migraine, I try to see Dr. Tad so he can take the edge off. If I have an issue which results in a prescription, I work with Dr. Tad so I
can limit my use of prescription drugs (or over the counter medication).
Overall, my energy, digestion and allergies have improved greatly since I started acupuncture. The number of headaches has also reduced. My family and friends are amazed at the improvement!
— Diane H., Warwick, RI
